Navigate and complete course content
Accessing Your Courses
View enrolled courses from:
- My Learning → Courses
- Programme Details → Courses Tab
- Dashboard → In Progress widget
Course Structure
Courses are organized hierarchically:
Course Pages
The main organizational units of a course.
Types of Pages:
- Standard Pages: Regular content pages
- Sub-Pages: Nested under parent pages
- Locked Pages: Require completing prerequisites
Page Navigation:
- Use the sidebar to navigate between pages
- Locked pages show 🔒 icon with unlock requirements
- Completed pages show ✓ checkmark
Course Modules
Individual content blocks within pages.
Modules appear sequentially on each page. Complete them in order (unless the course allows non-linear progress).
Some courses require completing modules in order, while others let you skip around. Check the course settings.
Working Through Content
Viewing Modules
Click on any unlocked module to view its content. Modules automatically mark as "viewed" when you open them.
Completing Modules
Completion requirements vary by module type:
- Text/Content: Read through the material
- Videos: Watch the video (may require watching fully)
- Quizzes: Answer questions correctly
- Assignments: Submit your work
- Self-Reflection: Write and submit responses
- Downloads: Download the resource
- External Links: Click through to the content
Progress Tracking
Your progress is tracked automatically:
- Green checkmarks indicate completion
- Progress bars show overall completion
- Time estimates help plan your learning
Module Types
Text Modules
Rich text content with formatting, images, and embedded media.
How to Complete:
- Read the content
- Scroll to the bottom
- Automatically marked complete
Video Modules
Video content hosted on the platform or embedded from external sources.
Features:
- Play/pause controls
- Speed adjustment
- Subtitles (if available)
- Fullscreen mode
How to Complete:
- Watch the video (may need to watch a minimum percentage)
- Video progress is tracked
Quiz Modules
Interactive assessments with various question types.
Question Types:
- Multiple choice
- Multiple select
- True/false
- Short answer
Features:
- Immediate feedback (if enabled)
- Multiple attempts (if allowed)
- Passing scores (if required)
- Explanations for answers
How to Complete:
- Answer all questions
- Submit your responses
- Achieve passing score (if required)
Some quizzes limit the number of attempts. Check the quiz instructions before starting.
Self-Reflection Modules
Prompts for personal reflection and journaling.
How to Complete:
- Read the reflection prompt
- Write your response in the text box
- Submit (responses are private unless noted)
Resource Modules
Downloadable files and templates.
How to Complete:
- Click the download button
- Save the file to your device
- Module marks complete upon download
Page Link Modules
Links to other pages within the course.
How to Complete:
- Click the link to navigate
- View the linked page
External Link Modules
Links to external websites or resources.
How to Complete:
- Click the link (opens in new tab)
- Module marks complete when clicked
Image Modules
Visual content including diagrams, infographics, and photos.
How to Complete:
- View the image
- Read any captions or descriptions
- Automatically marked complete
Comment/Discussion Modules
Community discussion threads for each module.
Features:
- Post comments and questions
- Reply to other learners
- Like helpful responses
- @mention other participants
How to Complete:
- Participation may be optional or required
- Check module requirements
Page Prerequisites
Some pages require completing other pages first.
Locked Page Indicators:
- 🔒 Lock icon on page
- "Complete [Page Name] to unlock" message
- Grayed out in navigation
Unlocking Pages:
- Complete all required predecessor pages
- Page automatically unlocks
- Notification appears when unlocked
Tracking Progress
Course Progress Bar
Shows your overall completion percentage based on:
- Number of modules completed
- Required vs optional modules
- Page completion status
Time Estimates
Each course and page shows:
- Estimated time to complete
- Time spent so far
- Remaining time (estimated)
Completion Status
In Progress: Started but not finished Completed: All required content finished Not Started: Haven't begun yet
Taking Breaks
Your progress is saved automatically:
- Leave a course anytime
- Return exactly where you left off
- Bookmarks saved on current module
- No need to manually save
Course Completion
Completing a Course
A course is complete when:
- All required modules are finished
- All required assessments are passed
- All prerequisite pages are completed
Completion Certificate
Upon finishing:
- Certificate automatically generated (if offered)
- Download from course page
- View in My Learning → Certificates
- Share on LinkedIn or social media
Programme Completion
Complete all courses in a programme to:
- Earn programme certificate
- Unlock bonus content (if available)
- Qualify for advanced programmes
Tips for Success
Stay Organized
- Set a regular learning schedule
- Mark courses/pages as priority
- Use calendar reminders for cohort deadlines
Engage Actively
- Take notes in provided areas
- Complete self-reflections thoughtfully
- Participate in discussions
- Ask questions when stuck
Manage Your Time
- Review time estimates before starting
- Break long courses into manageable chunks
- Don't rush through important content
- Revisit difficult concepts
Use Resources
- Download templates and resources
- Save external links for reference
- Export notes (if feature available)
Troubleshooting
Module won't mark complete?
- Try refreshing the page
- Ensure you met completion requirements (e.g., watched full video)
- Check for hidden submit button
- Contact support if issue persists
Can't access a page?
- Verify prerequisites are complete
- Check if course/programme is still active
- Confirm enrollment status
Lost progress?
- Progress should auto-save
- Try logging out and back in
- Contact support with course details
